In April, the Mossel Bay Municipality embarks on its public consultations in
all 15 wards of the municipal area to seek input from residents regarding the
Independent Development Plan and budget for the 2024/2025 financial year. This
process is outlined in the legislative framework provided for in Section
16(1) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, No 32 of 2000.
Therefore,
the municipality urges all community structures, organizations, interest
groups, and community members to participate in this opportunity by giving
input into the 2024/2025 IDP and budget review, thus actively participating in
municipal matters.
The format presented encourages walk-ins to the venues mentioned in
the graphics, any time between 16:00 and 18:00 where oral or written inputs can
be submitted. Representatives from the
municipality will be on site to provide support to members of the public, where
needed making their submissions. Please
note that changes to the schedule may occur due to the loadshedding schedule,
if and where applicable.

and submitted at all municipal offices and public libraries including local
spaza shops for convenient accessibility. With the assistance of municipal
employees, individuals who cannot read or write or who experience any other
difficulty, will receive the required aid to give their input and make their
submissions.
