MEDIA RELEASE: IRONMAN 70.3 - 40 DAYS TO GO

The eventful IRONMAN 70.3, which was hosted in Mossel Bay for the first time in 2022 returns on 19 November. IRONMAN 70.3 has signed a three-year contract to host this prestigious event in Mossel Bay.  

“We are excited about the 2023 event taking place on 19 November.  We have brought in changes to improve the event in all facets for the athletes, the spectators, and the general public,” says Werner Smit, Project Manager from IRONMAN 70/3

It is important however for members of the public to note that one race day, several roads and streets in and around Mossel Bay, will be affected. 

Smit confirmed that there are 2400 athletes participating in the event thus far. Participants in the event include professional male and female athletes, as well as age group athletes, who in fact make up the majority of the field.

 Detailed information regarding the road closure applicable prior to, if necessary and on the day of the event, has been made available and is attached.
