MUNICIPALITY INVITES ENGAGEMENT

The Mossel Bay Municipality is in the process of reviewing its Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Medium-Term Revenue and Expenditure Framework (MTREF) budget for the 2025/2026 financial year.

During September, the next round of public consultations regarding the IDP and MTREF will be hosted in all 15 wards of Mossel Bay. Please make a note if you want to give input on municipal issues affecting your ward to not miss any sessions hosted. The municipality actively seeks engagement with residents and encourages them to make use of the walk-in sessions hosted between 16:00-18:00. The public participation office strives to learn from these public consultations and to constantly improve the format.

The schedule is as follows:

WEEK 1:

• 2 Sept: Ward 11 (Boggoms Bay community hall) & Ward 4 (Reebok community hall)
• 3 Sept: Ward 1 (KwaNonqaba community hall) & Ward 13 (Indoor Sport Centre)
• 4 Sept: Ward 5 (Great Brak River council chamber)
• 5 Sept: Ward 3 (Thusong Centre) & Ward 6 (Voortrekker Hall)

WEEK 2:

• 9 Sept: Ward 2 (Thusong Centre) & Ward 13 (Lutheran Church)
• 10 Sept: Ward 14 (Greenhaven community hall) & Ward 7 (Brandwag school hall
• 11 Sept: Ward 15 (Asla community hall) & Ward 7 (Denneprag community hall)
• 12 Sept: Ward 12 (Joe Slovo community hall) & Ward 14 (Friemersheim community hall)

WEEK 3:

• 16 Sept: Ward 10 (Hartenbos municipal offices); Ward 11 (Dana Bay community hall) & Ward 8 (Mossel Bay town hall)
• 17 Sept: Wad 7 (St John's Anglican Hall)
• 18 Sept: Ward 7 (Sonskynvallei community hall); Ward 9 (Lutehran church hall) & Ward 12 (Hillcrest secondary school)
