MEDIA RELEASE: Municipality looking for Mossel Bay's mega women

The Mossel Bay Municipality seeks to acknowledge women in the community that takes their rightful place to create an impact.

The Directorate of Community Services is presenting a recognition event on 31 August to conclude Women’s Month during which the mega women of Mossel Bay will take centre stage.

Various categories in which nominations are invited, are:

·        Women who rose despite setbacks (self-nomination is accepted)

·        Women who make their mark in ‘n typically male dominated world

·        Women in uniform (not part of normal paid work as per service contract)

·         Women who make a difference in the community (in terms of programmes / initiatives they do not generate income from)

·        Women in business (entrepreneurs, sole traders, informal businesses)

·        Women in the making (learners and students)

Nominations are open from 1 to 19 August. No late nominations will be accepted. Entry forms are available on at www.mosselbay.gov.za, or the municipality’s Facebook page, municipal offices, cashier points and libraries or upon request Alma Kapp (akapp@mosselbay.gov.za).
