The 2025 instalment of the Mossel Bay Sports and Recreation Festival is at hand. This year, the festival takes place from - officially - 30 August to 4 October. The Sport and Recreation Festival is coordinated by the municipality. The aim of the festival is to encourage a healthy lifestyle, promote sport and recreation, as well as to market the town and boost local tourism. The Sport and Recreation Festival has been hosted successfully for more than a decade and keeps diversifying and growing.
Participating sports organizations or clubs each organize their own events during the festival, whilst the municipality offers support.
