Asla Park, D’Almeida and KwaNonqaba residents will soon have free Wi-Fi access to the internet as a result of hotspots installed by the Municipality in these areas.
The hotspots are expected to be ready early in May 2016 and will be located at the D’Almeida Community Hall, the KwaNonqaba Community Hall and the Thusong Centre in Asla Park respectively.
Users will have to register online first, after which a user name and a password will be provided to them. The user name and password will then be required to log in to the internet
The service will be available 24 hours per day, seven days a week, and there will initially be no restrictions on the amount of data or time than can be used. The Municipality will however monitor trends over a period of time to see if it is necessary to place limits on the amounts of time or data per users.
There will be a helpline if assistance is needed. The number is 0826870397.
