The fifth Dias Festival since the Municipality took the co-ordination of the Festival over in 2012 was once again a resounding success.

An estimated 35 000 people attended the Festival, which took place from 3 February 2016 to 7 February 2016.  The festival, which carried the theme of “Where Cultures Meet,” achieved a real meeting of cultures where local music and folk dancing talent were joined on stage by performers from China, Madagascar, Indonesia, Germany and Portugal.
