The 167 mm of rain that fell in the catchment area of the Wolwedans Dam recently has resulted in the level of the dam rising to 27 per cent by Wednesday, 27 October 2010, after it was as low as 14,6 per cent two weeks ago. MOSSEL BAY GETS R92 MILLION FOR WATER PROJECT

TECHNICAL SERVICES NOW UNDER ONE ROOF

The technical services of the Mossel Bay Municipality have been amalgamated into a new Directorate of Technical Services under Mr Dick Naidoo and all managerial and administrative personnel of the Directorate are now based in the Municipality’s old Health and Traffic buildings in George Road and Rudie Barnard Street respectively, according to a statement issued by the Municipality.. WATER PROJECT KICKS IN

The project to utilise the water from the Hartebeeskuil Dam near Hartenbos started delivering the first water from the dam into the municipal water supply network earlier this week. The project will add three megalitres of water a day to the Mossel Bay Municipality’s water supply to help it maintain the supply of water to residents should the Wolwedans Dam run empty.. MUNICIPALITY CHALLENGES LAW ON PARKING FOR DISABLED
